Child
Backpack are now standard equipment of children, for carrying
of their toys, and for other uses when they are on the move. It
is necessary that parents teach them on how to use their children
backpack properly, so these things can last for longer periods
of use.
Knowing how children are so active, they could destroy their kids
backpack easily, or even totally lose them if dads and moms
do not take the time and effort in teaching them on their proper
use and maintenance. Teaching them on their toys and children's
equipments, like the backpacks, will be good lessons in discipline
you can inculcate in the kids in their early years.
How should you do this teaching on the backpacks for your kids interesting
enough to catch and hold their attention? Maybe you should not just
be constantly talking and lecturing them on how to take care of
their backpack
for kids, how to clean them and keep them in good shape, and
so forth and so on. You know how difficult it is to hold the attention
of kids especially when their desire to play will surely be distracting
all the time.
Maybe one way of getting the kids' attention when you do the instructions
on the unique
backpacks is to play as if they are soldiers, undergoing boot
camp training. They will likely listen up when you announce this
innovative game and you can easily get them to gather around you
for the details of the game.
You can orient them of the regular inspection of their kids’
backpacks you will conduct on their equipment as this is a major
part of their training as "soldiers". You will encounter
many questions of course from the kids on this, when you start doing
the game weekly, or as often as you wish to train them on the use
of their backpacks.
It will also be a reliving of your days before in boot camp if you
have undergone the experience, or if you have not gone through that
training yourself, be sure to ask from your friends who did the
training before.
Your using this kind of approach
in the backpack training of your kids will be fun to you too, and
even to the friends you will consult on the boot camp experience,
especially that Army sergeant neighbor you have, on vacation leave
from his duties in Iraq.
You can just add a few exaggerations maybe, to bring down to the
level of the children's imagination what actually happens in the
real boot camp training. You could be using some boot camp language
they will hear for the first time, and you will surely have to find
ways to translate them into the kids' lingo, to make them comfortable
in the game.
When you blow that whistle signaling the formation of the squad
of your young "army recruits", be sure the wife has already
fixed up some juices for their drinks as your young boot camp recruits
can be as thirsty as the real trainees you had been before in your
youth.
Get your wife into the spirit of the boot camp training on the kids’
backpacks by addressing her as “Sergeant Mommy”, in
the same way your kids address you as “Sergeant Daddy”.
